Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park

After your breakfast in the morning, your driver-guide picks you up from your hotel of residence and briefs you about your 3 days safari to Bwindi forest the home of the remaining gorilla mountains. Get into a 4 x 4 safari car with your driver-guide and begin the drive towards the south western part of Uganda through the rolling hills and beautiful landscapes, enjoy the lunch en route at Igongo cultural center in Mbarara and proceed to the park.  Upon arrival, check in at the booked lodge; enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking

After your morning breakfast, meet your driver guide with your packed lunch and drinking water and transfer to Bwindi headquarter offices for briefing about the  gorilla trekking exercise, here you are grouped into groups of  8 people and assigned a ranger guide , get to know about dos and don’ts while with these endangered mountain gorillas, later transfer to the starting point and start the trek headed by armed park ranger and enter in the forest.

Enjoy the beauty of Bwindi rain forest which offers a dynamic, steeply forested landscape and incredibly dense, but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails giving access to tourists. After meeting these gentle giants, observe their exciting lifestyle, learn more about their behaviors, feel to take photography, and after the awesome experience. Return to lodge for lunch.

After lunch in the afternoon, if you still have energy, you can take a walk either stroll through the community experience or drive to the top of the world, the name given to the football field, located high up in Nkuringo which offers a mazing view over peaks and forests around Nkuringo a great way to stretch your legs after the tiresome gorilla trekking and enjoy sundowner. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 3: return back Kampala

After leisure breakfast, check out from the lodge and join your driver guide for a transfer back to Kampala, enjoying lunch enroute, proceed with the drive and delight in another stopover at the equator for photography, buy some African craft items and continue to Kampala city where you reach in the late evening, your driver guide drops you at your hotel or at the Airport to catch up with your flight back home or to the next safari destination
