7 Days Rwanda Gorilla And Wildlife Safari : Have you ever spent 7 days in a foreign country or probably had a week mixed of safari and wildlife safari experiences?  We present to you a long term safari trip that enables you to visit all of the three national parks of Rwanda plus grabbing an opportunity of touring around Kigali the capital of the country.

Rwanda is a landlocked country with a population of over 12.6 million people. A land of a thousand hills as is known by many is a perfect destination for primate wildlife lovers and those who wish to do gorilla trekking.

Day 1:  Start from Kigali to volcanoes national park.

Our assigned driver will be waiting for you at the agreed point to officially start up your safari in gear. Day one of seven will lead you connecting to the genocide memorial grounds and the kimironko for the city tour. Have lunch and later connect to Musanze. Dinner will be served at your hotel as you rest and wait for the next day’s activities. 

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in volcanoes national park

The long awaited day is here, day two of seven will push you to wake up early, have breakfast as you wait for the driver to embark on the journey to the park headquarters to have a pre trekking briefing about how you should behave when these gorillas try to come closer to you and later head into the forest for the trekking

This awesome and rewarding activity takes about 5 hours and it depends on how far are the gorillas in the forest, you will even get a chance of spending a rewarding hour with them as you take pictures and as you learn their life style.

Later, you can opt to return to the lodge or maybe head directly to the Iby’Iwacu cultural centre for the culture tours.  Here, you will get in touch with the local people and learn how they do their beliefs and norms.

Day 3: Nyungwe forest tour

Day three is basically for enjoying your last minutes in volcanoes national park as you head out to Nyungwe forest. You shall have an enroute lunch and maybe arrive at the forest in the evening hours as you head into the lodge and rest.

Day 4: chimpanzee trekking and canopy walk in Nyungwe national park

Day four will find you in the forest searching for the chimpanzees, can you imagine that?  You will be encountering the primates as you make your way through the thick forests, chimpanzees are always seen swinging from one tree branch to another since they are playful and cheerful creatures an don’t forget to let your ears out as their sound will be heard right from the start of the trek until you leave the forest.

Rest at the lodge as you wait for the driver to pick you for the canopy walk still in Nyungwe forest national park. The 8 to 9 meters high and 2 to 3 meters long view is a great climax of viewing birds so ensure that you don’t forget the binoculars for an easy view.

Day 5: Akagera national park.

Day five of seven is yet another bright morning that will lead you to embark on the 7 to 8 hour drive road transfer from Nyungwe forest national park to Akagera national park. Still here, you will be briefed on how to enjoy the visit at Butare museum and Nyanze king’s palace.

Day 6: game drives and Lake Ihema boat trip

You will begin your day 6 with an early morning breakfast as you plan to head out to the Savannah park looking for the best and outstanding game drives that the park has to offer. Here, you will grab a chance to see giraffes, rhinos, lions, and the smaller antelopes all together as you drive around the park as you wait for the sun to set and have a boat trip on Akagera.

The boat trip is a great chance to see a number of the different bird species over 500 in number and not forgetting to capture the aquatic life for example the crocodiles and the wallowing hippos in the water.. Drive back to your hotel before night fall for dinner and a second night in Akagera national park.

Day 7: drive back to Kigali Rwanda

You will wake up at leisure in time for breakfast and arrange your luggage to check out for your hotel. You may have a brief game drive as you exist the park and head out back to Kigali to end your tour.
