Source of the Nile

River Nile is not only the longest river in Africa but also in the Pearl of Africa. The Nile river begins its flow from Lake Victoria in Jinja town famously known as the “Adventure Capital of Uganda” situated in the eastern region of the country. John and his friend Richard Francis Burton had traveled with an intention to explore Central Africa. How to get to the source of the Nile

The source of River Nile is situated Jinja in the eastern Region of Uganda. Jinja can be accessed by road and from Kampala, it takes you about 2 hours drive to reach to the source of Nile. By road from Kampala you drive through  Mabira forest taking the Kampala Jinja Highway where you get an opportunity to veiw impressive attractions such as the tea and sugarcane attractions.
