Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pickup and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Your 3-day gorilla habituation safari begins with a pickup from Entebbe International Airport or
your hotel in Entebbe. Your driver guide will brief you on the safari itinerary and answer any
questions. You'll then embark on a scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, passing
through rolling hills, villages, and towns, and have lunch in Mbarara. The journey takes
approximately 8-10 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions. Upon arrival, you'll check
in at your lodge and spend the rest of the day relaxing, taking in the breathtaking views of the
surrounding landscape.
Journey time: 9 hours
Accommodation: Rushaga gorilla camp or Ichumbi gorilla lodge
Meal plan: lunch and dinner

Day 2: Gorilla Habituation in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Today, you'll participate in a gorilla habituation experience, a unique and immersive adventure
that allows you to spend four hours with the gorillas. After an early breakfast, you'll transfer to
the park headquarters for a briefing. Your experienced guides and trackers will lead you through
the forest, pointing out other wildlife, including monkeys, birds, and butterflies. As you trek,
you'll learn about the gorillas' behavior, habitat, and conservation status. The moment you
encounter the gorillas, you'll be struck by their size, gentle nature, and intelligent gaze. Spend
four hours with them and then return to the lodge, dinner, and overnight

Day 3: Drive Back to Entebbe

After a leisurely breakfast, you'll check out of your lodge and embark on the return journey to
Entebbe. The drive takes approximately 8-10 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions.
Lunch in Mbarara and a stopover at the equator for the water experience, buying souvenirs, and
photography. Upon arrival in Entebbe, you'll be dropped off at Entebbe International Airport or
your hotel, marking the end of your 3-day gorilla habituation safari.
