Gift of nature Lodge is one of the budget accommodation lodge option that is situated in Ruhiji gorilla trekking sector of Bwindi impenetrable forest national park. The park is the world’s great mountain gorilla trekking destination hosting almost half of the remaining Mountain gorilla population. Ruhija sector is home to various mountain gorilla families such as; Bitukura, Oruzogo as well as Kyaguliro.

The lodge is a very comfortable place to stay on a gorilla safari and it feature an awesome cool environment which makes it a perfect place for a relaxing leisure evening after your day activities in the Bwindi Forest jungle. Upon arrival at the lodge you meet with a friendly and welcoming staff ready to offer you a service.

Gift of Nature Lodge consists of about 8 self contained accommodation rooms featuring a private inbuilt bathroom, flushing toilets with free basic toiletries. The accommodation rooms range from Double, single and twin rooms  with spacious comfortable beds and cold/hot flowing showers. The accommodation facility has been constructed out of local materials that blend with the environment and reflect out the African traditional style of living.

There is a wide range of activities that the lodge offers such as; Community riding/ visit, Hiking, Birding, Gorilla trekking, Batwa Cultural experience among others. other facilities at the lodge include; an onsite Serene restaurant, a shared Lounge as well as incredible comfortable rooms.

How to get there

The Lodge can be accessed by either road or air transport from Kampala or Entebbe. And by road from Kampala or Entebbe international airport to Bwindi forest national park it takes you about 10 hours drive including the stopover points. And upon arrival to the park, you take a short connection to Ruhija sector where the lodge is located and check in to enjoy a wonderful stay in the jungle.

Alternatively, you can fly to Bwindi forest and there are various daily scheduled flight that operate safaris in the park. such as; Aerolink, Eagle air among others. a flight from Kajjansi airstrip or Entebbe international Airport to Bwindi takes you about 2 hours and you land in Kihihi bush Airstrip. Upon landing, join a short transfer drive that takes you about one hour to reach Gift of Nature Lodge in Ruhija sector of the park.
