This itinerary blends a four-day Kampala city tour with unforgettable wildlife encounters, including gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and game drives in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Day 1: Arrival in Uganda โ€“ Transfer to Kampala

On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by a driver-guide and transferred to your hotel in Kampala. If time allows, a short drive around the city will be enjoyed.

Overnight accommodation will be arranged at Acacia Lodge or Skyz Hotel Kampala by Mariotte.

kampala cityDay 2: Kampala City Tour โ€“ Kasubi Tombs and Kabakaโ€™s Palace

After breakfast, exploration of Kampala begins with a visit to Kasubi Tombs, the resting place of Buganda kings. A tour of the Kabakaโ€™s Palace follows before you return to the hotel for lunch. In the afternoon, a workshop visit will be arranged.

Overnight will be spent in Kampala at your preferred lodge.

Day 3: Forest Park Experience โ€“ Evening Workshop

The day will start with a half-day exploration of a local forest park, where you will enjoy nature walks and fresh air. After returning to the hotel, lunch will be taken before an afternoon workshop visit.

Accommodation will again be arranged at Acacia Lodge or Skyz Hotel Kampala.

Day 4: Uganda Museum and Gaddafi Mosque

Another cultural highlight awaits as you visit the Uganda Museum, home to traditional artifacts and cultural displays. The day will also include a visit to the historic Gaddafi Mosque, which offers panoramic views of Kampala city. After returning to the hotel for lunch, a workshop session will be attended. Dinner and overnight will be enjoyed in Kampala.

Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park via the Equator

Early in the morning, you will leave Kampala for western Uganda. A stop will be made at the Uganda Equator for the famous photo experience. Lunch will be enjoyed in Mbarara town before continuing the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. On arrival, you will check into your lodge for dinner and rest.

Accommodation will be at Simba Safari Camp for budget travelers or Park View Safari Lodge, Marafiki Safari Lodge, or Twin Lakes Lodge for mid-range guests.

Day 6: Game Drive and Launch Cruise โ€“ Queen Elizabeth National Park

The day will begin with a morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Wildlife such as elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and many bird species will be spotted. After breakfast and lunch at the lodge, the adventure continues with an afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. Hippos, crocodiles, and abundant birdlife are frequently seen here. Dinner and overnight will be at your lodge.

Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest via Ishasha

After breakfast, you will drive south through the Ishasha sector, a region famous for its tree-climbing lions. On a lucky day, several of them will be seen resting in fig trees. The journey continues to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, where you will arrive in the evening for dinner and overnight. Accommodation will be at Broad Bill Camp or Buhoma Community Rest Camp for budget travelers, and Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge or Gorilla Mist Camp for mid-range guests.

Day 8: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

A highlight of the 10 Days Classic Uganda Safari is gorilla trekking in Bwindi. After an early breakfast, you will report to the park headquarters for a briefing. The trek will then begin, with a guide leading the way through dense forest. Gorilla trekking may last from thirty minutes to several hours, depending on the location of the gorilla family. Once found, only one hour is allowed with the gorillas as you observe and photograph them. Later, you will return to the lodge and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for overnight. Accommodation will be provided at Crater Bay Cottages, Bunyonyi Overland, Bunyonyi Rock Resort, or Birdsnest Resort.

Day 9: Lake Bunyonyi Boat Cruise โ€“ Transfer to Lake Mburo

A morning boat cruise on Lake Bunyonyi will allow you to explore its 29 islands, each with a fascinating story. After the cruise, you will check out and continue the journey to Lake Mburo National Park. Dinner and overnight will be arranged near the park.

Day 10: Horseback Safari โ€“ Return to Kampala

After breakfast, a unique horseback safari inside Lake Mburo National Park will be experienced. This activity allows you to ride among zebras, antelopes, and other wildlife without the sound of engines. Later, you will drive back to Kampala with a stop for lunch along the way. You will be dropped at Entebbe International Airport for your return flight, marking the end of this unforgettable safari.
