10 Days Rwanda And Uganda Gorilla Safaris

On arrival at Kigali international airport, meet and greet with your guide who briefs you shortly about the 10 days Rwanda and Uganda Gorilla Safari. Later head out for a city tour in Kigali city where to grab an opportunity to experience the Gisozi genocide memorial site and groove on other charming attractions in the city. After the awesome adventure, drive to your booked lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Delight in an early breakfast, and drive towards the northern part of the country to experience volcanoes national park which is a famous host to the rare and endangered mountain gorillas. Upon reaching the park, transfer to the lodge, take lunch and then proceed with a city tour in Ruhengeri city. After head back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Enjoy the morning breakfast and then head to the park headquarters for briefing about the dos and don’ts during gorilla trekking exercise. accompanied by the game rangers who take to search for the gorilla habituated gorilla families in the rugged terrain till you find them. Upon finding them stay with them for only 1 hour.

This adventurous safari activity takes 3 to 5 hours while looking for the gorilla groups. On your way to search for the gorillas you can see some other fascinating primates like the chimpanzees, monkeys, birds and many others. Then return to the lodge for lunch and afterwards go in for a community walk. During the community walk you can visit the karioske research center, the graves of Diane Fossey a lady murdered because of protecting these endangered gorilla mountains. Return to your booked lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Nature walk is done in the Bigodi Swamp this is to enable you spot primates like Vervet & L’Hoest monkey and also observe plenty of bird species. You will return to the lodge in the evening for your dinner and overnight stay.

Have an early breakfast, then head to Virunga Forest for golden monkey tracking which takes 2 to 3 hours only. Later return to the lodge for an early lunch, have a nap and after check out of the lodge and transfer to Kisoro Uganda through the Cyanika boarder. Take dinner and then an overnight stay at Kisoro in Uganda.

Delight in morning breakfast, begin a transfer to Mgahinga national park for second gorilla tracking adventures but this time in Uganda. Mgahinga national park is situated in the south western part of Uganda. You can be escorted by the game rangers from UWA.If you meet the gorillas, you spend 1 hour with the gorillas after you go back to the lodge for lunch. Then in the evening head for the cave exploration after head back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at your booked lodge.

Nkuringo is one of the 11 gorilla groups found in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park. This group can be accessed easily from Kisoro district. Have morning breakfast then head out for gorilla tracking in Bwindi impenetrable forest with packed lunch spend 1 hour with the gorillas if found then return back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at your booked lodge in the park.

Have morning breakfast and depart to lake bunyonyi which is blessed with 29 dotted islands. Bunyonyi is a wonderful place to go birding because it is a natural habitant for a large number of birds and a better stopover place for relaxation after trekking mountain gorillas. On arrival you can go for a boat ride which helps you to reach most of the islands on the lake. These islands were named according to bird species found there and some were named because of their reasons like the punishment island which I the smallest and was used to threaten the young girls who get pregnant before marriage by the Bakiga. Then return to the lodge for resting, have dinner and then an overnight stay at your booked lodge.

Enjoy the morning breakfast and then drive back to Kampala with lunch enroute in Mbarara town, then continue and make a stopover at the equator in kayabwe for stretching, Water experiments and taking photographs and also at Mpambire Royal drum village for souvenirs. there after proceed to Kampala arriving late in the evening or dinner and an overnight stay at your booked lodge.

After breakfast, head out for your Kampala city tour visiting places like Namugongo martyrs’ shrine, National Museum, Makerere university, National theatre, Baha’i temple among the rest. Have lunch and then proceed to visit hotels, post office, bars and also kasubi tombs where 4 Baganda kings were buried. Then go back to your booked lodge and an overnight stay at the hotel.

Delight in a morning leisure breakfast, then head to Entebbe International Airport to catch up with your booked flight back home.
