Day 1: Pick up from Kigali – Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After an early breakfast, your driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel or Kigali International Airport. You’ll enjoy a short city tour of Kigali including the Kigali Genocide Memorial, before departing for Uganda.
Cross into Uganda through Gatuna or Cyanika border post, proceeding through the scenic countryside to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The drive offers stunning views of terraced hills and local homesteads.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After an early breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking rules and group allocation. Then enter the dense jungle, led by expert guides, in search of your assigned gorilla family.
The trek can take 2–6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ movement, but the moment you find them — watching, photographing, and observing them for a full hour — will be one of the most emotional wildlife experiences in Africa.
Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the evening, you can enjoy an optional Batwa cultural walk or visit a nearby craft market.
