3 Days Gorilla Habituation Safari & Lake Bunyonyi Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
You’ll be picked up early in the morning from Kampala or Entebbe by your driver-guide for a scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas.
Enjoy a stopover at the Uganda Equator line for photos and coffee, then continue through Mbarara and the beautiful rolling hills of Kigezi.
Arrive at your lodge near the Rushaga sector, the only area where gorilla habituation is done. Check in, relax, and enjoy dinner surrounded by mist-covered forest views.

Day 2: Gorilla Habituation Experience in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After an early breakfast, head to the Rushaga sector park offices for a briefing about the Gorilla Habituation Experience. You’ll be joined by researchers, rangers, and trackers, then hike into the forest to locate your assigned gorilla group.
Spend four full hours observing and photographing these gentle giants as they interact, feed, play, and learn to accept human presence. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime privilege and one of Africa’s most exclusive wildlife encounters.
After your return, drive to Lake Bunyonyi, a short and scenic transfer. Arrive in the evening to enjoy a lakeside dinner and breathtaking sunset views.
