5 days gorilla and white-water rafting safari Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala/Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
After having an early breakfast, meet and greet with the company driver guide for a transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Driving through Masaka-Mbarara highway, enjoy the stunning landscape sceneries along the way. Enjoy a wonderful stopover at the Uganda Equator for photographs, continue to Mbarara town for lunch at Igongo Cultural Centre and proceed to the park. Check in at the booked lodge have dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi.
After your morning breakfast, head out to the park headquarters for briefing about the gorilla trekking exercise, learn about the dos and don’ts. While here, your are grouped in the groups of 8 people and assigned a ranger guide to take you through the exercise. Later transfer to the starting point and begin the trek to search for the habituated gorilla family, expect to go through the beautiful thick creepers and the steep stunning forested landscape where numerous animals pass enabling tourists to look for the gorillas and it can take up to about two – eight hours or half day to get the gorillas and spend with them almost one hour. Enjoy sighting many beautiful birds plus a variety of amazing green tree species. After the wonderful adventure, return to the park headquarters to get the certificate of appreciation for taking part in conservation of the gorilla species in Bwindi Forest, join your driver guide for drive to the lodge for lunch then proceed to Lake Bunyonyi enjoy dinner plus an overnight stay.

Day 3: Canoeing on Lake Bunyonyi and Transfer back to Kampala.
After your morning breakfast, head to lake bunyonyi for a canoe ride which gives you chance to get lost in the magnificent views of the 29 fabulous Islands. Later go for a scenic nature walk where you will interact with the local people and learn about their interesting culture. Return to the lodge, checkout and set off for a journey back to Kampala with an enroute lunch in Mbarara and arriving in the city in the evening, your drive guide drops you at your hotel of residence in Kampala, enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: White Water Rafting in Jinja.
Enjoy an early breakfast, join your driver guide for a transfer from Kampala to Jinja Road trip which takes 2 hours drive. Along the way enjoy the beautiful scenic views of Mabira Forest home to various bird species and a few exciting primates. Proceed to Jinja, upon arrival you meet the rafting team for a briefing about the rafting exercise before you transfer to the starting rafting point to begin the adventure. Rafting is done on different grades though the activity takes 1 to 3 hours with a cold bottle of beer at the end, have lunch and then drive back to Kampala arriving in the evening. Check in at the hotel have dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Optional Kampala city tour and departure.
After a leisure breakfast, check out of the hotel and head for the optional city tour to Namugongo Martyrs Shrine, Uganda museum, Kabaka’s Palace (King’s Palace). Enjoy an enroute lunch and drive to the airport to catch up with your scheduled flight back home or to the next Safari destination.
