Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe and Pickup

Day 2: Fishing on Lake Victoria

Rise with the sun and head out for a full day of fishing on Lake Victoria, Africa’s largest freshwater body. With experienced guides aboard motorized boats, you’ll venture into the deeper waters in search of Nile perch, tilapia, and catfish. The lake’s calm waters, dotted with fishing canoes and tropical islands, provide a serene setting for anglers of all levels.

As you cast your line, enjoy the spectacle of African fish eagles gliding overhead, monitor lizards basking on rocks, and local fishermen skillfully paddling through the channels. After a picnic lunch, continue your fishing session or relax on the boat as you take in the lake’s expansive beauty. Return to your hotel in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Journey to the Ssese Islands

After breakfast, embark on a scenic ferry ride across Lake Victoria to the Ssese Islands, a lush tropical archipelago made up of 84 islands. Upon arrival at Kalangala, you’ll be welcomed by friendly locals and served a delicious seafood lunch prepared from freshly caught tilapia. Spend the afternoon exploring the island — from its secluded beaches and ancient forests to local fishing villages.

As the sun sets, gather around a beach bonfire, share stories under the stars, and feel the gentle lake breeze as the sound of waves lulls you into relaxation.

Day 5: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, depart the Ssese Islands and journey northward toward Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and most diverse park. The drive, including a lunch stop in Masindi, takes approximately 5 to 6 hours. Upon arrival, check into your lodge and unwind as you soak in the wild beauty of the Nile River. In the late afternoon, head out for a game drive, where you may spot elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and possibly even lions in the park’s northern savanna.

These waters are home to giant Nile perch, catfish, and tigerfish, making it one of East Africa’s premier fishing spots.
