How to get to Murchison Falls National Park

By Air
Flying from Entebbe international Airport to Murchison Falls National is the most convenient way of getting there. The flight usually takes only one hour and they are on daily basis whereby the aircraft stopover at Pakuba, Chobe or Bugungu airfield, you are dropped and waited upon by your driver guide to start you adventure in the wonderful park. Chartered flights are as well ready if needed, the two domestic flights that is Aero link and fly Uganda are scheduled departures to Murchison Falls National Park and other parks in the country.

By Road

The northern gates
Chobe gate
The gate is accessed from Paraa and Karuma Falls, it is as well close to Pakwach about 2 kilometers north of Karuma bridge
Tangi gate
This is located in the past region of the park. Everyone that goes through Paraa crosses the Nile river by the ferry busy all day. This gate is 110 kilometers from Kara bridge.
Wankwar gate
This is near Purongo about 10 kilometers off the main road.
Mubako gate
This can only be reached after crossing the Nile River from Karuma Falls Bridge along Kampala Pakwach road.
Southern gates
Bugungu gate
It is accessed through Budongo Forest offering you thrilling views of the mighty rift valley, the breath-taking lake Albert and Congo Mountains. It is about 135 kilometers from Masindi town but is a longer route however it is more rewarding due to its incredible scenic views.
Kichumbanyobo gate
This is accessed through Kaniyo Pabidi forest still from Masindi town which is over 85 kilometers.
