Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi – Welcome to Kenya

Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, where you will be warmly welcomed by your safari guide and transferred to your hotel in Nairobi. Depending on your arrival time, you may visit the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, Giraffe Centre, or enjoy a relaxed evening at your hotel.

Day 2: Drive to Lake Nakuru National Park – Flamingos and Rhinos

After breakfast, depart Nairobi and journey through the scenic Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its vast flocks of flamingos, pelicans, and abundant wildlife. On arrival, enjoy a game drive around the lake, spotting white rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, buffaloes, and leopards resting in the acacia trees.

Check in at your lodge for lunch and later take an evening drive for sunset views over the shimmering lake.

Day 3: Drive to Maasai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, set off for the world-renowned Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya’s most celebrated wildlife destination. The drive takes you across the rolling plains of the Great Rift Valley, dotted with Maasai villages and grazing cattle.

Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge before heading out on an afternoon game drive, where you might spot elephants, giraffes, lions, and zebras roaming freely. The Maasai Mara never disappoints — every turn offers something extraordinary.

Day 4: Full-Day Game Drives in the Maasai Mara

Spend a full day exploring the vast plains of the Maasai Mara, home to Africa’s most diverse wildlife. Depending on the season, you might witness the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest and zebras move between Tanzania’s Serengeti and Kenya’s Mara.

Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives or opt for a hot air balloon safari followed by a champagne breakfast — an iconic African experience. The Mara is also home to the Big Five, cheetahs, and a spectacular array of birds.

Day 5: Maasai Village Visit – Cultural Immersion

Return to your lodge for an afternoon at leisure or another game drive before dinner under the stars.

Day 7: Fly to Kibale National Park – The Primate Capital

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for a scenic flight to Kasese Airstrip, followed by a drive to Kibale National Park. On arrival, check in at your forest lodge surrounded by lush vegetation.

In the afternoon, visit the nearby Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, known for its rich birdlife and primate species, including colobus and red-tailed monkeys. This community-based conservation area offers an incredible introduction to Uganda’s biodiversity.

Day 8: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale Forest

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a chimpanzee trekking experience. Accompanied by rangers, trek through the rainforest listening to the echoes of chimp calls. Once located, spend an hour observing their playful interactions, grooming, and feeding — a thrilling and educational experience.

After lunch, you may relax at your lodge or visit a local coffee farm or crater lake for breathtaking views.

Day 9: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park – Game Drive

After breakfast, drive south to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s most diverse and scenic wildlife reserve. The journey takes about 3 hours through the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains.

Upon arrival, enjoy a game drive across the Kasenyi plains, where you can spot elephants, lions, buffaloes, and antelopes. Later, check into your lodge with stunning views of the park and Lake Edward.

Day 10: Morning Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

Begin your day with a sunrise game drive to catch predators returning from their night hunts. Return to the lodge for breakfast before heading out in the afternoon for a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, connecting Lakes Edward and George.

This relaxing cruise brings you up close to hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, and a variety of birdlife. It’s a highlight of Queen Elizabeth National Park and perfect for wildlife photography.

Day 11: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – The Gorilla Highlands

After breakfast, drive south through the scenic Ishasha sector, famous for its tree-climbing lions, to reach Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The journey takes you through lush forests, terraced hills, and picturesque villages.

Upon arrival, check into your lodge nestled in the jungle and enjoy an evening surrounded by the mystical sounds of the forest.

Day 12: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi & Departure

After an early breakfast, report to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking. Led by rangers and guides, hike through the dense forest in search of a gorilla family. The trek can take between 2 to 6 hours, but the encounter is worth every step. Spend an hour observing these gentle giants — a rare and moving experience that defines the essence of Uganda.

After the trek, return to your lodge for lunch before your transfer to Kihihi or Kisoro Airstrip for your flight to Entebbe, where you’ll connect to your international departure.
