Day 1: Arrival in Kigali – Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, your safari driver-guide will warmly welcome you and provide a short briefing about your trip. Begin your scenic drive through Rwanda’s rolling hills toward the Cyanika or Katuna border, where you’ll cross into Uganda. Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before beginning your gorilla trekking experience. Led by expert rangers and trackers, venture into the dense rainforest in search of a habituated gorilla family. The trek can take 2 to 6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ location, but once you find them, you’ll spend an unforgettable hour watching them feed, play, and interact in their natural habitat.
After the trek, return to your lodge for lunch and a well-deserved rest. Later, you may choose to take a gentle community walk to meet the Batwa pygmies, learn about their forest traditions, and enjoy their storytelling and dance performances.

Upon arrival, check into your lakeside resort and spend the afternoon at leisure. Take a canoe ride to explore the islands, swim in the safe, bilharzia-free waters, or simply relax and enjoy the peaceful scenery. As the sun sets, the calm waters mirror the fading light, creating one of the most magical scenes in East Africa.
