Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Musanze

Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, your driver/guide will welcome you and take you to Musanze. In the afternoon, explore Musanze town and visit the Musanze Caves. In the evening, participate in a briefing regarding gorilla trekking followed by dinner.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

Start your day with breakfast and then transfer to Volcanoes National Park. After the gorilla trekking briefing and orientation, set out on a trek lasting 2-5 hours to observe the magnificent mountain gorillas. Return to your hotel for lunch and some relaxation. You may also engage in optional activities such as bird watching or a nature walk. Dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Trekking and Dian Fossey’s Grave

Enjoy breakfast before transferring for Golden Monkey trekking (about 2-3 hours). Visit the grave of Dian Fossey and the Karisoke Research Center. Return to your hotel for lunch and some downtime, followed by optional cultural tours or visits to local communities. Enjoy dinner and, optionally, a cultural performance and overnight
Nature walk is done in the Bigodi Swamp this is to enable you spot primates like Vervet & L’Hoest monkey and also observe plenty of bird species. You will return to the lodge in the evening for your dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Wildlife Viewing in Akagera National Park

Travel to Akagera National Park (approximately 4 hours) for a game drive and wildlife observation, where you can see elephants, lions, and giraffes. Have lunch at the lodge within the park. An optional boat cruise on Lake Ihema is also available.

Day 5: Return to Kigali and Departure

After breakfast, you can participate in an optional game drive and wildlife viewing. Head back to Kigali where you can enjoy lunch and visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre. Depart from Kigali International Airport.

    Day 1: Airport Pick up –Transfer to Kampala

    As soon as you arrive to the airport our company representative will come to pick you up and drive you for around 45 minutes after which you will arrive in Kampala, enjoy an optional Kampala city tour and after the awesome experience head to the booked hotel for overnight and stay at Papyrus Guest House or Cassia Lodge (mid-range).

    Day 2: Transfer to Kibale National park

    After breakfast(6:00am) you be picked by our guide through major towns of Kampala, Mityana, Mubende & Kyenjojo, will have a stopover at the cultural spiritual tree(Nakayima), meet story tellers (tell you about Buganda culture) and then proceed to Fort-portal by the green cover of large tea plantations(mid-day), stopover for Lunch. Later afternoon you can visit ‘Amabeera ga Alina wire-cultural site ‘beautiful scenery and with background stories. Check in your lodge/Guest house, relax, Dinner and overnight.

    Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking and Nature walk (Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary)

    Have breakfast (6:00am), transferred to the park headquarters (Kanyanchu Tourism center) by your guide for briefings, then will be divided into small groups of six people headed by one guide, by 8:00am embark on your chimpanzee tracking trail. This experience usually takes 2-5hrs and only allowed for 1hr with the Chimpanzees, involving hikes through the forested landscape, retire back to your lodge, freshen up, relax, have lunch and later prepare for the nature walk in the Bigodi wetland.

    Nature walk is done in the Bigodi Swamp this is to enable you spot primates like Vervet & L’Hoest monkey and also observe plenty of bird species. You will return to the lodge in the evening for your dinner and overnight stay.

    Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Ishasha Section of Queen Elizabeth National Park.

    Breakfast by 7:00am, set off for Bwindi Impenetrable National park (5-6hrs) sparing 1 hour for Game drive in the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park hoping to see the tree climbing lions, later reaching Bwindi via Buhoma section for lunch, and an overnight. relax, Dinner.

    Day 5: Gorilla tracking and Transfer to lake Bunyonyi

    Have breakfast, will be taken to the headquarters for briefing, divided into small groups of 8 members by the Uganda Wildlife ranger and embark on your tracking of the mountain Gorillas. Equipped with enough drinking water, you are good to go, because the tracking experience can sometimes be long and tough. It takes about 2-8hrs and goes through steep rocks, climbing up and down but only allowed to have 1hr spent with the Gorillas. After your close encounter with the Gorillas you will return to the Lodge and depart for Lake Bunyonyi, relax and can do nature walks at the lakeshores

    Day 6: Morning Canoeing and Departure

    There will be a very early morning canoe riding on the lake before departing, then embark on our drive back to Kampala or Entebbe concluding our 6 Day Gorilla –Chimpanzee safari, have a lunch stopover at Mbarara and then proceed to Kampala city. On arrival your driver drops you at your booked hotel in Entebbe or at the Airport to catch up with your scheduled flight back home.
