Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge

Sabyinyo silverback lodge is among the oldest safari lodges in Rwanda. This land is 100% community property in partnership with the government of Rwanda especially for the country manors and rustic cottage on the hill side facing the volcanoes. Sabyinyo silverback lodge is known by the Virunga rainforest explorations, its gardens get full of bird songs during day time and also a turn down log fire place is a wonderful place for relaxation especially in the haven cool mountain air.

Surrounded by the landscaped gardens with thrilling views of the Virunga’s, the Sabyinyo silverback lodge is a stone tile build with the main lodge and 8 guest rooms. The main lodge consists of the colored walls, beautiful windows, large Mediterranean style tilling and exquisitely designed and are fixed to the walls looking wonderful over the slopes plus the giant size masks adding a real sense of enjoyment to the experience. Inside the lodge is designed by the splendidly amazing wooden floors, low slatted callings, white walls, mixture of slumber seating, open log fires and the African prints.

In Sabyinyo silverback lodge some of the shared areas are the bars, game rooms, verandas, libraries, dining rooms and seating rooms. Here guests are treated with cool warm welcome and given outstanding services by the manager up to the bar attendants.the lodge provide high standard food to the guests which make the returning guests to comment on the flexibility of the meal times.

Sabyinyo silverback lodge consists of rooms for between 16 and 20 guests and the accommodation is splinted into 3 types such as the cottages, family cottages and suites. The lodge is spaced like the main lodge each with two private verandas, bathrooms and seating rooms with fire placed inside. The lodge rooms are designed with large twin beds but family cottages have extra bedroom and bathroom. The designs in the silverback lodge are simple, bathrooms have double sinks, large shower tube plus shower luxuries and restrained flash toilets.

Sabyinyo silverback lodge has offered a yearly salary and field costs to one of the tracking team helping in the habituation and field research of the chimpanzees in the forest.this lodge is few minutes from the park headquarters therefore they can move to the trekking site on foot while spotting the wildlife and the birdlife with the help of the binoculars to help in the sighting of the tiny far away birdlife and wildlife species.
