Wildlife Activities in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park : Bwindi Forest National Park is a popular safari destination located in the southwestern region of Uganda, covering Kanungu, Kisoro and lubanda districts covering 321 sq. km and was gazetted as a national park in 1991,. It is famous for being home to the endangered Mountain Gorilla species, with more than half of the world’s remaining population of about 500 individuals. Activities in Bwindi impenetrable national park

The park is divided into four sectors with habituated gorilla families for trekking and these are Ruhija, Rushaga, Buhoma and Nkuringo.

The park is home to over 320 bird species and birding is best done in the Buhoma and Ruhija sectors, offering the chance to see rare bird species including the great blue turaco, woodpecker, collared Apalis, green-breasted pitta, black-breasted barbet, and more.
Munyanga Waterfall Walk This trail starts from Buhoma along the River Vi-nkuringo and continues to the sensational sight of the falls.
